Review of the Hunter 320 by Kevin

Year built 2001
Location of boat Austin, Texas
The boat is sailed on Lakes
How the boat is used Day sailing
Normal wind strength 10-15 knots
Average size of crew solo
Liveaboard? No
Owner bought the boat in 2003
If the clock could be turned back, would owner buy again? Absolutely, it's beautiful! Great room, the furled sails (jib and main) combined with the autohelm make it very easy to single...almost too easy. She rides the water great. A bit slow down wind though. Th 18hp Yanmar is a bit underpowered for the boat size but it will do.
Gear that's been added Integrated GPS, full cockpit bimni, rum, vodka and margarita mix!
Structural or complex improvements None
The boat's best features The cockpit is a party pit! Folks can ride with you while you do all the work without having to ask them to get up and move all the time. The interior is roomy with lots of wood, and class!
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc. Nothing really but if I could change anything I would give it a bit more horsepower...beating a 25 knt wind on the engine is a bit of a challenge.

Liveability Two could live on it if the two were just married but I really think that if you tried it long term it would end in divorce...
The owner's experience in dealing with Hunter (if any)
The owner's experience with the boat dealer or broker, if any
Other comments Great boat! I really can't see paying $20k more for a 326 as they really didn't change much between the models that makes any difference.
