Review of the Hunter 37.5 by Robert Wenhold

Owner bought the boat in 2002  
If the clock could be turned back, would owner buy again? I would definitely buy this boat again. There are only two problems with it: one I can handle, the other is being worked on. First, the boat wasn't used much for the previous three years. It was cared for, but not used. And for the later part of the last season, it wasn't even boarded. The result is it has a cabin smell that my son and I are diligently trying to eliminate through washing everything with a pine soap, checking fittings, cleaning the bilge, and using air fresheners. The second is more of a problem. I was blessed with four additional sails, all in perfect (2 spinnakers, two genoas). I have no place to store them on the boat. Whenever we want to use them, we have to haul them from home. Lack of storage space, and I can't see anyway to get around it.`  
Gear that's been added The boat was fully equipped.  
Structural or complex improvements NO  
The boat's best features I haven't had the boat long enough to tell. One feature that I like is the speed of this boat. At a 15 degree heal, the boat is really fast.  
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc. None so far.  
Sailing characterisitcs Our limited experience with this boat indicates that it is quite sailworthy: fast, easy to handle, fun to sail, set up for solo. I'm looking forward to an exciting season.  
Motoring characterisitcs Nothing out of the ordinary. It's response has been acceptable.  
Liveability So far so good. Spending the last few seekends on it proved to be a comfortable, liveable experience.
