The boat's best features Live ability. I have spent the past two years on the boat, and it is comfortable.I sailed the boat last summer from Chicago to Cape Cod, and it was a very easy boat to sail by one. In heavy weather the boat is very easy to reduce sail area. The cutter rig is ideal for short handed sailing, not so good for day sailing, harder to tack than a sloop.
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc. Head holding tank was leaking. The only to fix it is to cut away the fiberglass shower stall. The tank is very hard to remove, so I fixed it in place. That was one year ago, and it's still holding.
Sailing characterisitcs I have sailed it most conditions, and sea states. The boat handles well, except for dead down wind. It seams like it wont track very well.
Motoring characterisitcs Motors fine in forward. However backing is hard to port. I have a 3 blade prop.
Liveability Very easy. I have spent two years, and plan on many more.I have wintered in Chicago, and Cape Cod and keeping the boat warm. It's very cozzy in winter.
The owner's experience in dealing with Hunter (if any) Yes. I work for a Hunter Dealer, and they are just as responsive to us as they are to there customers.
The owner's experience with the boat dealer or broker, if any I was very nice to myself. And I would buy from me again.
