Year built 1987
Location of boat Montreal
The boat is sailed on The Great Lakes
How the boat is used Weekends and longer
Normal wind strength 16-22 knots
Average size of crew 2-4
Liveaboard?
Owner bought the boat in 1992
If the clock could be turned back, would owner buy again? Absolutely. It has been a great boat!
Gear that's been added GPS Chartplotter, Stereo, Inverter, Windspeed/Direction, Washdown pump, Increased capacity holding tank, New Mainsail
Structural or complex improvements
The boat's best features Good performance, liveability, good handling (it even backs up pretty well!)
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc.
Sailing characterisitcs Not outstanding in terms of performance close to the wind, but good in light airs and surprisingly good in a strong blow, properly reefed of course!
Motoring characterisitcs Best at around 2400RPM, doing about 5.5 knots
Liveability Good! The aft cabin could use a little more head room.
The owner's experience in dealing with Hunter (if any)
The owner's experience with the boat dealer or broker, if any
