Review of the Hunter 34 by Wally Graham

If the clock could be turned back, would owner buy again? I would renegotiate the price  
Gear that's been added A new ST4000 auto pilotI'm also adding apparent wind, a new knot and depth, Dutchman flaking system and a Bimini  
Structural or complex improvements No  
The boat's best features  
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc. To much weather helm  
Sailing characterisitcs Without any headsail it stands up and sails quite well in 15 to 20 knots of wind,less weather helm that way.  
Motoring characterisitcs The 21 Westerbeke has some vibration at 1500rpm and I haven't dertermine where it is coming from, yet. Other that that it is satisfactory.  
Liveability Seems to be comfortable, but the forward berth is a little difficult to get into and out of. The cusions were a bit thin, so we had them redone with thicker foam and they are somewhat better.  
The owner's experience in dealing with Hunter (if any) Called the Hunter tech service at 1-800-771-5556 and ask where I could buy a burner for my Kenyon pressure kerosene stove and was told that the company when out of business and that there was no replacement. Wasn't to postive.
