The boat's best features A few years ago I wrote a scathing review of the 336 and my experience with the dealer and Hunter Marine. After that, both came through and corrected the problems in short order. The boat went from what I classed as a lemon, to a boat I think is one of the finest around. The battery chargers were upgraded, the insturments replaced, and the minor bugs repaired. The tank gauges have never worked but I can live with that. The cockpit (fantastic room) and glass are instant grabbers to visitors.I do have trouble raising the main sail and would recommend an electric winch. The anchor locker could use a larger water drain. The engine has been flawless. I would also recommend the top be redesigned so water will not drain into the head or aft cabin glass when open. The boat handles well and has gone from a nightmare to a delight because of the dealer and Hunter Marine. I'm hooked now as a customer.
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc.

Liveability The overhead and side glass give it a well lighted interior and a feeling of not being closed into a dark hole as some boats. The boat is comfortable with lots of storage space.
The owner's experience in dealing with Hunter (if any) No more complaints. They came through and even put in a more expensive battery charger system then the boat had.
The owner's experience with the boat dealer or broker, if any Our Hunter dealer in Memphis did everything he could to accomodate us. I would recommend Rooke Sails to anyone shopping for a boat whether it be Hunter or another brand.
Other comments May be looking to move up to a larger Hunter in the near future. But the curved cockpit and other features have spoiled me---and I would want the same in another boat.
