Review of the Hunter 33_77-83 by Don McDonald

Year built 1979
Location of boat Greenbrier, Arkansas
The boat is sailed on Lakes
How the boat is used Weekends and longer
Normal wind strength 10-15 knots
Average size of crew 2-4
Liveaboard? No
Owner bought the boat in 2000
If the clock could be turned back, would owner buy again? I boat this boat knowing it was going to be a project to get it back in tip top shape. It's a labor of love. I had the boat pulled from Greers Ferry Lake on June 15th and it's now sitting on stands in my yard for a year long venture of working from bow-to-stern, inside-and-out on ALL systems to include replacment of portlights, electrical system, water system, head unit, painting and vanishing exterior/interior. Yes, I would buy it again.......
Gear that's been added Not as yet, but will upgrade all sail systems in very near future.

The boat's best features
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc. Portlights have rotted to nothing but dust. I understand the Gray Enterprises (currently the manufacuturer of existing portlights) is out of business. Any suggestions for direct replacements by an alternate manufacuturer?
