Review of the Hunter 33_77-83 by Dominic P Bua

Owner bought the boat in ~199  
If the clock could be turned back, would owner buy again? YES  
Gear that's been added All new electronics including radar. Had the Yanmar 2gm professionaly rebuilt. Many interior improvments. I replaced all the cabin cushions with 6 inch leather covered foam. Makes a world of difference in comfort.  
Structural or complex improvements I had to rewire most of the boat.  
The boat's best features Sails well, faster then most boats of its size.  
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc. Last year I noticed some blistering at the water line which mad me very upset. I will repair this problem before it goes back in the water.  
Sailing characterisitcs Sails well in all weather conditions (coastal sailing) I have however experienced being overpowered (steering) in heavy winds. backing off the sails corrects the problem. When the boat is properly trimmed she will sail as straight as an arrow!! I can leave the helm for short periods of time!  
Motoring characterisitcs Powers well. A bit noisy. Some vibration. I installed a flexable shaft joint.  
Liveability I take two, 2 weeks sails a year with one other, and have been very comfotable. I would however, like to replace my alcohol stove. The burners work OK but the oven is broken.  
The owner's experience in dealing with Hunter (if any) The few times I have called Hunter the people have been very helpfull.  
The owner's experience with the boat dealer or broker, if any I bought the boat through a dealer in Newburyport Mass and would consider them in the future.  
Other comments I would like some suggestion on the best method to repair the hull blistering I menthioned earlier.
