| The boat's best features | The boom is above the cockpit arch. The has prevented a number of bangs in the head. |
| Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc. | The only issue we have had is with nopt having enough winches to operate the main sheet and the jib sheets. The boat came with two winches. There are places to attache winches for a spinnaker, but the cockpit arch would prevent full turns of the winch handle. |
| Sailing characterisitcs | The boat is very responsive to sail changes and trimming. |
| Motoring characterisitcs | Nothing great or bad about this. It has always worked. |
| Liveability | My wife and I have spent a few weekends on the boat and it is very live-able. Especially since we installed fans in the aft berth. Without the fans, the diesel smell can get pretty bad. |
| The owner's experience in dealing with Hunter (if any) | I have not had to deal directly with Hunter. Our dealer did one time in trying to get a replacement VHF radio. Hunter refused to send me the same model that was originally on our boat. They said they don't use that VHF anymore. I had to contact Ray Marine directly to get a replacement. |
| The owner's experience with the boat dealer or broker, if any | The dealer made the purchasing experience very nice. This was our first large boat and the process was very easy. After the purchase, the best thing I can say about my dealer, is the taught me that I need to learn to fix and replace everything myself, even if it is warranty. |
