Recently there was a discussion about mounting speakers in the cockpit. This is how I mount my cockpit speakers on my Hunter 27 without cutting holes in the boat. The speaker wire goes to a waterproof connector. This way, I can take the speakers below when I am away from the boat.

This setup allows the speakers to rotate within the cockpit. The sound is great too!
