My centerboard was constantly banging down in the sharp trailer crossbeam, and getting cuts. As the cleat is not strong enough to support the CB while bouncing down the road. Made center Bunk to support it. Easy to make. Made of ground contact rated PT 2x6 lumber. Bolted to the frame with stainless bolts washers and nuts. Carpeted over with bunk carpet. Actually make launching and retrieval easier too! Cost next to nothing. Problem solved
