First step is to remove the seat cushion from the starboard settee. The back part of this seat fits into the curved part of the port settee seat.

The back part of the seat has two straps with female snaps that snap into mating male snaps beneath the salon table. These straps prevent the seat cushion from moving while inplace as a double sleeping berth.

Next step is to first remove the port seat cushions, then lower the table, followed by replacing the seat cushions, place the starboard settee seat onto the table and connect the two straps to the male snaps under the table. Our straps needed to be twisted as the female snaps were on backwards.

Once the starboard seat is snapped into place it will remain fixed while made into a double berth. We have no need to add some sort of lee cloth.

A quite comfortable double berth, even for adults, when the need arises. Our two models demonstrate just how comfy the berth conversion has become with minimum effort.

Hard to see, but the male snap located beneath the salon table accepts the female snap on the starboard settee seat strap. It holds the seat against the port settee seat thus preventing the starboard seat from moving around while someone is sleeping on it. Works quite well as a double berth.
