Here the ST7000 display head is at the steering station. Im right-handed so having the display and controls on the left is best for me.

This is the center compartment under the aft cabin bunk. The autopilot computer is mounted on the starboard wall.

I mounted the fluxgate compass in the compartment with the muffler. The factory originally had it located in the center compartment with the course computer, but I could not get a satisfactory deviation with it located there.

Muffler Compartment

This is on the forward bulkhead in the muffler compartment. Although this is not on the centerline of the keel, I found that in this location I could achieve less deviation when I swung the boat in the self-calibrate mode than in the original location.

This is a shot into the console showing the drive motor, chain, and sprockets. The motor is a Type-2 and the chain sprocket has the name of Martin and the number stamped on it is 40BS40 1. The name Martin is in script. The number of teeth on the large sprocket is 40. I have heard that this sprocket is priced as high as $500.

Motor Drive

This is located under the quadrant gear cover and is accessible by removing the 4 screws by the swim platform. The cover lifts up and out. The rudder position transducer is driven by a rod that attaches to the quadrant gear.
