On my 1997 h40.5 the line holders that I have are round disks that have a 1/8 line attached. The coil of line to be held is wrapped with this 1/8 line and the line is placed over the disk.The problem is that if you have a lot of line coiled the 1/8 line tends to spread around the disk and come off. This results in the coiled line falling to the cockpit floor in a heap.

My solution was to cut the disks at a angle so that the 1/8 line cannot slip up off the top of the disk.See how the line cannot slip from the narrow bottom to the larger top of the disk.Works great!!
