Old girl gets a new dress

Finally, repairs are to the point where we could put new canvas on her. TopStitch from Fernadina Beach Fl did a great job. I went with a solid frame with no straps and everything through bolted. I added an arch over the transom some time ago to support the solar panels, and I had the new top extend to this new bow, and now the cockpit is covered. I had to spend a little more to have them put in eyelets instead of zippers on the bimini. The last zippers where supposed to be UV resistant and they lasted only two years, now lets see how this last. They used zippers on the dodger which has cleaner crisper corners than the bimini, so Ill have something to compare. I just polished the stratoglass and immediately took them down and stored them below. Im glad I went with the california style dodger, its so much more open with all the stratoglasss down. There are a total of five windows in the dodger, with a section in the front that unzips and rolls up, and two wings. I also had them use Tenara thread, lets see how long that last? They made new sail covers, so I of course took the old staysails cover and made a cover for the outboard hanging on the transom. That ought to slow down any evaporation of gas in the carb that was left over after I ran it dry. Heres a couple of pics. I wish they had put something on the main sail cover that covered the winches, like the old cover did, I guess thatll be my next project.
