H37C bilge layout.

posted 10-07-2008 by Ed Schenck

See H37C bilge closed.

Here you can see the bilge hatches at the bottom of the companionway. The galley is to starboard(left in the picture). The small hatch gives access to the thru-hull for engine water. And also, on my boat, to the air-conditioner.

See Aft two bilge hatches removed.

This picture looks to be too fuzzy as I write this. But you are looking at the aft most two compartments. The top of the picture has thru-hull with a T so I can run engine or A/C. The long compartment has the A?C pump and filter. But here you can see two frames. And they are supporting the hatches. I did not think that they did when I wrote on the Cherubini site. And notice the fiberglass ledge that the hatches sit on.

See Next section forward.

Here you see keel bolts, two bilge pumps, and the manifold for directing water from the two water tanks. Same fiberglass ledges. The next section forward is not shown but contains the mast step and the shower sump.

See Just a closeup.

Nothing new. Just a closer view.
