H37C-Holding Tank removal

posted 10-07-2008 by Ron Pearson

See Pulling it Forward

I cut the fiberglass sheet that seperated the tank from the locker. With the hoses removed the tank was pulled forward.

See A tight fit

This is as far as the tank would go. It is too big to remove in one piece so the cutting began here.

See Lots of pieces

It wasnt very difficult to cut the tank. I used a saws-all and a 4 1/2 grinder.

See One Hour and Forty-five minutes later

The tank was out. The mess was minimal and the smell wasnt nearly as bad as I had imagined it would be.

See The Pieces

Here it is. It was leaking from underneath as I had suspected. The job went well and it went fast. If you need to remove your tank dont wait. It isnt all that hard to do. If you are in the Houston TX area and need to hire someone Im available :)
