The Yanmar starter solenoid requires more current than is possible with standard Hunter wiring. After replacing everything in the starter wiring circuit AND adding a new AGM battery it was time for a Cole Hersee solenoid, what I call a relay.

One new #8 red wire is added between post #1 and relay post A. The original start button/key white wire is moved from post #2 to relay post C. Ground relay post D and run a white #8 wire from relay post B to solenoid post #2.
