What the inside of a 20-year old aluminum tank looks like. This baby was leaking at the rate of about 50 gal/48 hrs.

After cutting off the top of the setee, the top of the tank, and the two baffles, AND grinding off the burrs left on the inside.

The plastimo 40 gallon bladder in place.

The setee fiberglass screwed back in place. Two days of grinding and cussing.... A shop vac full of aluminum, fiberglass, and carborundum disk fragments... At least I now have some options. If the bladder is empty, I have a new storage compartment. If the bladder decides to leak, I can yank it out in minutes. I will not try this on the starbord tank, but rather cut access ports, and seal it with epoxy. More later..... RS
