Replacing the head

posted 09-12-2008 by Renasci

This was not a fun job. As you can see from the before shots, there was a hole butchered into the subfloor, then a thru hull put in, with a y-valve going to the holding tank, which also leaked. What a mess. I pulled everything, I mean everything while I was in the yard, and was able to get in betweeen the subfloor and the hull and clean it with chlrox, and went back new with everything, and even added an additional line to and from the hear to prevent siphoning. I did this while I was redoing the bulkheads, as if that wasnt enough. After it was all said and done, I also ended up putting in an additional 3 gallon tank for fresh water to flush with, and hooked it up to the rain-drain with a marlon ball value located behind the stove. It was all worth it.
