Unfortunately for you we do not have a 340 but we have a 1991 hunter 35.5
You can compare the specifications with your 1997 hunter 340

The specs are nearly identical.

340; I 43 J 11.6 P 43.7 E 15 Mast 56 WL 28.7
35.5; I 42 J 12.2 P 44.1 E 14.3 mast 55 WL 29.1
On the 35.5 the first reef is at 67 and the second is at 13 2 3/4

No info on reefing line sorry!

We changed our Main halyard for a Samson warpspeed last year and it made a big difference in heavy air. Our previous Halyard was stretching and making the main wrinkle. This new line has very little strech and offer better sail shape and control.
