Early models of the SS Arch did not have attachment points for the bimini (forward or aft). Later models included an awning track on the flat part of the arch. The previous owner of our boat drilled and tapped lift the dot fasteners to attach forward and aft biminis. The were problematic for two reasons: very hard to fasten and unfasten and when the bimini was off the studs would snag lines of the traveler and get broken off. I replaced the lift-dot studs with awning tracks using the previously drilled holes and had the biminis resewn with track welting.
