One issue on the 340 is the long run of the bilge pump discharge hose. After the pump stops, a lot of water back washes back into the bilge. As discussed elsewhere, check valves are not recommended. I have yet to do anything about ours, but I wetvac the bilge upon departure. Its a hassle and I wish someone would make a bilge pump that would suck air and water!
