Looking aft from the chart table, the unit is installed with face plate flush on the bulkhead. Body of the unit is located inside the locker facing the entrance to the stern cabin. Installation was rather easy. Trickiest thing is cutting the bulkhead but with the template supplied with the unit, you only really need to be careful not to mar the bulkhead itself. Masking tape helps for that ! A nice bonus is the fact that you can use an automotive aerial for AM/FM reception and leave it in the locker without cutting any holes.

Sorry that the photo is not clearer, but looking in the top left-hand corner you can see the speaker just below the white fiberglass. It is mounted on brackets and you can adjust the angle to your liking. Bracket is held to the bulkhead with 2 small SS screws. Same thing is done for starboard side. Wires were fished out of sight alongside the 12V wires for the miniature Halogen lamps.
