One of the most annoying things about my H34 was trying to open and close the original line clutches. During our restoration, I finally replaced both sets with these Harken clutches that open and close with no effort at all. We added a third clutch on each side to enable reefing from the cockpit. Mounting was no problem as you can get access by removing the cabin ceiling inserts.

We also installed Harken deck organizers 2 on 2 to direct the reefing lines back to the cockpit. I guessed and was correct that there seems to be an aluminum plate under the existing deck organizers that can be drilled and tapped to secure the new deck organizers.
