One of the problems with a 1980 Hunter 33 is access to the galley sink drain shutoff valve. To gain access the starboard seat with table must be completely opened up, including the double berth board to get to the hatch on the seat. To overcome this problem an access hole was cut into the seat front. Now all that needs to be done is to remove the access cover and open or shut the valve. Before this access hole the valve was left open rather than tear the seat apart to get to the valve.
