Interior w/wood walls

posted 09-12-2008 by Paul

This is the best improvement to an older, 1980, Hunter 33. It involved removing the rug material wall cover and its cushion backing and placing it with tongue and groove bamboo wood planks. It is a time consuming task but it can be done in stages. I did it over a period of about a month.

The wood is laid up from the bottom and held in for the most part with the side molding. It can fairly easily be removed if for some reason it should be taken apart again.

By far the hardest section of the boat to do was the starboard quarter berth. The hatch to the stern was made using the original hatch and gluing the bamboo planks to it. [
