Here are the two batteries on our H31. The gray battery is our GEL cell (No. 1) and the black battery is on of our AGM (No.2). We also have two more AGMs in the aft lazarette for the refrigeration.

The extra wiring is for the battery combiner.

Here is the first view of the platform. Notice that we had to notch the platform for the raw water engine intake valve and hose.

The view here shows the clearance over the shaft log. Fairly close because you need to have clearance for the top of the batteries and cases (if you have flooded units).

Some of the early H31s had their batteries in the starboard lazarette. This places about 130-150 lbs on the starboard side. By moving them inboard it HELPS decrease the starboard list.
