This is the companion way prior to building the doors. This is also the way we leave the boat when we are away for anextended time.

The new doors I made. The doors are removeable at the hinges and then the frame can be removed so that the boards can be used when we are away from the boat for extended periods.

This is with the doors open. This makes entering or exiting the interior much easier and is a lot less trouble than removing and reinstalling boards each time.

This picture is the dodger that was custom built. The stainless steel handhold just above the small window makes going forward much more secure. There are 3 handholds along the back of the frame. I do not have a good picture of them but if you look closely you can see the middle one. There is no such thing as too many handholds.

This is a good picture of the handhold. There is one on each side and it also serves to hold the canvas tight.

This is hard to see but it is the frame for the dodger prior to installing the canvas.
