Loading H26/260 on Trailer

posted 10-07-2008 by George Kobernus

I usually launch and retreive my boat single handed. Splashing the H26/260 is a snap; a tap on the brakes, and it just floats off. However, Even with the guide poles, getting it back on the trailer straight can be frustrating - especially if there are cross winds at the dock.

The keel almost never ends up in the center of the bottom bunk the first time and it usually takes couple of tries even with help.

H26/260 Keel

Made an alignment guide from treated wood covered with carpet from Boaters World. took a couple of hours to make and less than $50.

Got this idea from this forum.

Now the boat always aligns on the center of the bunk the first time, and I usually load the boat without help.
