260 Table Support Measurements

This is a photo which Calvin submitted earlier. You should also look at his other photos for a better idea about how it works.

Calvins Photo of Support

Hope this works. This is my first photo post. Actually I tried earlier and it did not appear to work.

You will also need to look at Calvins photos to build the support and get an idea of how it works.

Part A is the spacer between the two Part Bs. The 2 inch dimension is the diameter of the compression post. If yours is different, you will need to adjust the measurement so that the compression post will fit between the slot.

Part B: You will need two of these. Calvins was made of 3/4 inch plywood. I think ½ inch will work and probably be better. The 5 inch cut out at the top is made to fit around the aluminum ring screwed underneath the table top. The hole marked X is placed to line up with the hole in the compression post when the table top is resting on the support in the sitting postion. The hole marked Y is positioned to hold Part D in place when the table is raised to the cabin top.

Part C: Stabilizes the up and down movement of the table sides.

Part D is the support for holding the table in the raised (cabin top) postion. There is a 3 inch block attached about 12 ½ inches from the top of the support which holds the table support in place. If you prefer, you can drill a hole in the compression post and eliminate this part. I didnt want to risk damaging the center board lines.

Part E, not shown, is a 2 inch wide block screwed underneath the table to prevent it from rotating when it is on the table support.

If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact me at the email below. I can also build the part and ship it to you.
