As many others before me, my aluminum tank slowly leaked the golden fluids it was meant to hold. Tiny pinholes from years of acid and bile and excrement ate through the tank. This was initially noted by a rank odor coming from the bilge.

The job was big.

A poly tank was purchased from California; still cheaper than purchasing in Ontario even with the exchange rate and shipping (by $100), with a thicker tank to boot.

I had to cut a hole in the bulkhead, which I confirmed was acceptable from the people at Marlow-Hunter.

Big job, glad its over.

Note to others; careful reaching in from the cockpit to do repairs. I almost had to call for help to get out.
