This mod upgrades the ineffective single line bridle mainsheet system on the 27-2 with a double sheet system to control boom location and mainsail shape. The system utilizes the existing 3 boom blocks (plus one additional boom block) and the port mainsheet swivel cam cleat. The port fiddle block wss replaced with the same fiddle block plus becket. Starboard side deck hardward is replaced to match port side. The single sheet is replaced with 2 independant sheets. The two sheets are attached at the beckets of each fiddle block and fed as follows: becket->boom ->fiddle->boom->fiddle->cam cleat. Each sheet creates a 4:1 purchase main sheet on each side. Parts required are: (2) Shaefer fiddle block with becket (505-55) (2) Shaefer Universal Deck Adapter (504-02) Replaces the original deck adapter (1) Schaefer Swivel cam cleat (70-61) This matches the original port cam cleat The windward sheet controls boom location (you can now point with the best of them!) and the leeward sheet controls sail shape (boom tension).
