Hunter 27 Traveler

posted 10-07-2008 by Steve Lannen

Here is the way the completed traveler looks. I turned all the boom blocks sideways and they worked perfectly. If anyone needs some advice let me know.

This is a picture from a little different angle. The boom is far enough forward where it wont dent your head and you can still get ant the halyard cleats. I left the fiddle blocks from the old main sheet so you can see the positioning easier.

This was the scary part. My wife loves our boat and was not to happy when I started cutting. The traveler, according to Harken must be bolted underneath. In the head the cut came right under the head dome light. How perfect! That gave me a great idea. My wife always wanted a light directly over the stove. She now has one and the hole is gone.
