See Portside

This shows the compass, sheet organizing bag and the cam cleat for the jib sheet on the bulkhead. On the cabin top (left to right in photo) are the cleat for the roller furling jib line, the sheet stoppers, and the cam cleat for the jib sheet. Coming through the sheet stoppers are lines from the outhaul, flattener, and sometimes the reefing line. In the cabin, you can see a clock and barometer, winch handle holder and binocular holder mounted on the wall to the head. Ignore the boathook -- I did when I took the photo. The bags are mounted to the bulkheads by four corner snaps and a strip of velcro at the top. The fuzzy velcro is sewn to the bags, and the prickly velcro is glued to the bulkhead. Since the glue doesnt hold up, its augmented by some pop rivets. Ill be covering the velcro with masking tape or plastic of some sort, but I suspect it will need replacing every couple of years.

See Starboard

On the bulkhead is a white plastic grab handle (through bolted and backed up by a wooden one on the cabin side, Autohelm bi-data (depth and knotmeter), and sheet bag. You can also see the cam cleat for the starboard jib sheet. This season the lines leading to the starboard bag were the first reef line, the main halyard and the centerboard line. Next year, I hope to use the jib halyard for a cruising spinnaker, so the reef line will have to go to port. The CDI furler has its own jib halyard. The other change for next season will be to split the rain flap for the sheet bags to form a few more entry points for the lines.
