The factory rudder for this boat has always been a curse of poor engineering. Owner after owner have complained of a multitude of issues from the raising and lowering to the poor quality materials which lead to structural defects. I was plagued with these issues as well and decided to replace it altogether with an IdaSailor rudder which has taken all the problems away. The great design of this rudder incorporates all heavy duty stainless parts and an innovative strut system that makes the raising and lowering a dream.
