I cleaned up the large plates the best I could.

I used 3M 90 High Strength spray contact adhesive, to glue the rubber spacer gaskets to the plates. Time will tell if it lasts, but the adhesion seems to be very good.

All nuts/bolts have been replaced with new stainless steel. The end result is a real solid feel, I assume like new. Anyone with the same problem, I would highly recommend replacing all the parts, its an easy job and can be done easily in a couple hours, once you have all the parts and supplies ready to go.

Parts list I used:

Item# 827493 Tiller Stop Bushing
Item# 827492 Rudder Pivot Bushing
Item# 827491 Rudder Friction Bolt Bushing
Item# 800523 Rudder Spacers
Item# 827352 Rudder Spacer Gasket

I re-used the Gudgeon Blocks and the aluminum plates. The plates are very badly corroded from salt water, but will still work. I cleaned them up real good, applied primer and top coat of paint, should be ok.
