Inspired by JerryAs mod post, I created this awning from some marine vinyl I had left over from when I re-covered the cushions on my motorboat (which I nolongerownthankgod).

I find the marine vinyl works really well because it is stretchy and does not tear easily. I got mine from JoAnn fabrics. 57 inches wide if I remember correctly.

For attaching to the stays, small spring clips like the ones at the extreme corners are the best. They go one and come off easily.

Stiffening polls are replacement tent poles. $6.99 a pair from Academy Sports.

Aft lines are secured at corners and cleats with trigger snaps.

I created end caps and guide tubes from 1/2 inch PEX plumbing tubing, secured with zip ties.
