November Star

This is a sunset shot of our 1984 Hunter 31, November Star, resting peacefully at anchor in St. Catherine's Sound along the intracoastal waterway in Georgia after a long tumultuous offshore leg in a 30 knot breeze. We found this anchorage by following a pod of dolphins into the Southern creek immediately behind St. Catherine's island. Landing on this island is restricted because of a research station of the New York Zoological Society which protects endangered species. The evening hours witnessed strange animals calls that occasionally interrupted the solitude of this late fall cruise through some of the prettiest cruising grounds on the East coast.
