Southern Belle facing the storm

We attempted to go from Chicago to South Haven with the Columbia Cruising fleet. As you can see the weather ahead turned ugly. We ended up turning around but sailed into worse weather. So if you wondering can your 376 take bad weather we had 55 knots for 58 minutes 8 to 10 foots seas all hammering us on the port side. All sails down motoring making 4 knots with waves breaking over the boat. I nerves were a wreck but he boat did great no leaks a few thing feel. The auto helm handled the steering up until we hit 55 knots. Auto was amazing keep the crew able to just hold on and watch in amazement. This trip made a believer out of me and has given me a lot of confidence in the boat.
