Owner bought the boat in 97'
If the clock could be turned back, would owner buy again? No. The boat, or more specifically the rudder, takes more effort than I care to use. There have been times when it was all I could do to turn her into the wind. The original jib set-up is not a one person operation--at least not if you want to tack or jibe uneventfully.
Gear that's been added No.
Structural or complex improvements No.
The boat's best features The roomy cockpit. deck surfacing, the boat's looks.
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc. Jibe set-up, steering system, on-board water system.
Sailing characterisitcs Passage too rough at winds of more than 18-20 knots. Not very forgiving if timing of jibe or tacking off slightly.
Motoring characterisitcs 8hp. two stroke Evinrude underpowered, smelly--buy a four stroke--preferably a Honda 15hp.
Liveability Unless you prefer a strong
