Owner bought the boat in 1994
If the clock could be turned back, would owner buy again? YES!! Big time. Love it. We think the design of this series is so much nicer than the current vintage! She sails well, and the fit and finishof the cabin is great. Well thought outand set up.We use her to teach sailing at ourlocalcommunity college and do 6 pack chartersall summer. Great boat.
Gear that's been added Dodger, bimini, 155 Mylar bi-radial genoaWind instruments, cockpit cushions, extraanchor and rode, life sling, elec refriggolf cart batteries
Structural or complex improvements
The boat's best features She sails like a dream. Fast, points wellis forgiving of errors. Backs well underengine power. Is a great looking boat!
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc. The roller furler drum is mounted belowthe foredeck in the anchor locker. Thisis not nice when unstepping the mastand removing the head stay. Lots of mashedfingers and a few naughty words. This isreally poorly done.
Sailing characterisitcs Sails well. We have had her in winds of30 kts without any problem. Needs a larger head sail inlight airs. Spinaker does well.Points very well.
Motoring characterisitcs Handles well under power. Backs extremelywell. We can get about 7 kts under powerwithout straining the engine.Engine uses a lot of oil. We go through about 75 gals offuel each season and 5 qts of oil.
Liveability Unfortunately we donotuse her much forovernighting. Wife not enamored withstaying on boat. Not happy, but what can you do.l
The owner's experience in dealing with Hunter (if any) Dealt with dealer with good results. Bought through RCR Yachts inYoungstown, NY. Good guys
The owner's experience with the boat dealer or broker, if any See above. Good folks. I would deal withthem again.
