Liveaboard?
Owner bought the boat in 1994
If the clock could be turned back, would owner buy again? Yes, its the perfect weekend getaway boat for the family. Very comfortable for over night and week long trips, as well as having very good sailing qualities
Gear that's been added Manual cockpit bilge pumpCockpit hot
Structural or complex improvements
The boat's best features Very roomy, light belowdecksGood sailing performance
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc. Vibration from engine drive trainStanchions separate from base due to water seepage
Sailing characterisitcs Very fast in light winds. Lots of fun passing heavy displacement boats. In strong winds a bit tender due to tall rig
Motoring characterisitcs Good performance with Yanmar 3GM30 but experienced annoying drive train vibration which will be soon solved (I hope).
Liveability For this size boat, simply excellent. Walk-through transom very handy for swimming or just hanging out at anchor.
The owner's experience in dealing with Hunter (if any) They've been responsive when I called the 1-800 number to ask questions, and easy to get Hunter specific parts (latches etc.)
The owner's experience with the boat dealer or broker, if any
