Review of the Hunter 30_88-94 by Rob Bell

Year built 1989
Location of boat St Petersburg FL
The boat is sailed on Bays, sounds, or protected salt water
How the boat is used Weekends and longer
Normal wind strength 10-15 knots
Average size of crew 2-4
Liveaboard? No
Owner bought the boat in 2010
If the clock could be turned back, would owner buy again? Yes I bought this hunter to get me back into sailing after being away from it for 10 yrs. Good size boat to migrate back into sailing before moving up in about 5 yrs to cruise the carribean with a 38-42 ft boat
Gear that's been added Boat was in great condition. Previous owener kept the boat in great condition and had almost everything reworked before he sold it. I will put a small generator it and will sail it to Key West later this year.
Structural or complex improvements Not at this time
The boat's best features roomy and stability for a 30 ft boat
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc. Too early to tell yet
Sailing characterisitcs great stability and draft is idea for the shallow waters for the Tampa Bay area
Motoring characterisitcs 2200 RPMs and little vibration
Liveability weekends only
The owner's experience in dealing with Hunter (if any) No experience in this area boat from a private owner
The owner's experience with the boat dealer or broker, if any
