Review of the Hunter 33 by Martin Lynn

Year built 2007
Location of boat Channel Islands/Oxnard
The boat is sailed on Open ocean
How the boat is used Weekends and longer
Normal wind strength 10-15 knots
Average size of crew 2-4
Liveaboard? No
Owner bought the boat in 2006
If the clock could be turned back, would owner buy again? This is the dream boat for people looking at the 30 to 34' foot range!
Gear that's been added The boat was well equipt and then the added dodger with side panels and full bimini were a topper!
Structural or complex improvements The side panels for enclosing the cockpit were added and the result was comfort in any condition.
The boat's best features The design and cut were the selling points-6'3" underside head room and quality trim were very the way one would expsect in a quality boat. Overhead traveler, ride for a 33" cruizer is great Underside gally and lack of mast pole in the salon.
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc. Very little complaint about the boat. Minor defects that were addressed as with any production boat.
Sailing characterisitcs She is a gem to sail and will reach a steady 5-6 in 12knot wind
Motoring characterisitcs The thing turns on a dime and is very nimble in tight quarters
Liveability Very easy to deal with. Simple designs and effective results with the interior spaces.
The owner's experience in dealing with Hunter (if any) Hunter is very service oriented company and wil do what it takes to make a customer happy!
The owner's experience with the boat dealer or broker, if any Red carpet delivery from H&S Yacht sales
Other comments The one thing that could be improved is the cockpit design for width.
