Review of the Hunter 33.5 by Rod Beukenkamp

Year built 1988
Location of boat Grand Rivers, KY
The boat is sailed on Lakes
How the boat is used Weekends and longer
Normal wind strength 10-15 knots
Average size of crew 2-4
Liveaboard? No
Owner bought the boat in 2005
If the clock could be turned back, would owner buy again? Absolutely, Owner who sold it to us now has a new Beneteau 343 and dislikes it being more tender in 20 knot winds than the H33.5, Also his wife misses the excellent storage lockers on the H33.5. We have found the H33.5 to be a great handling boat.
Gear that's been added
Structural or complex improvements
The boat's best features Great sailing and handling in changing lake wind conditions. Great space and storage for everything.
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc.

Motoring characterisitcs 6.4 knots at 3,000 RPM, 18 HP Yanmar
