Review of the Hunter 25_73-83 by patrick

Year built 1978
Location of boat GA
The boat is sailed on Open ocean
How the boat is used Weekends and longer
Normal wind strength 10-15 knots
Average size of crew 2-4
Liveaboard? No
Owner bought the boat in 2003
If the clock could be turned back, would owner buy again? sure
Gear that's been added cantilever motor mount, depth, constant pressure water system
Structural or complex improvements the water system is awesome. i used a "fat sack" which is a water ballast bag that wakeboarders use to weight their boats to increase the size of the wake. it is about 2'in dia and 4' long, holding about 70 gal of water. it only cost $100 new and combined with a cheap pump it keeps me in water for a week including showers.
The boat's best features the fact that I don't have any complaints!!
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc. the wiring was kinda scary and I need to replace the stove
Sailing characterisitcs good all around, handles rough water well
Motoring characterisitcs hard to stop with the 9.9!
Liveability 1 month max with regular shore excursions
The owner's experience in dealing with Hunter (if any)
The owner's experience with the boat dealer or broker, if any
Other comments great 1st real boat
