Review of the Hunter 26 by charles Peterson

Location of boat Puerto del rey marina PR.  
The boat is sailed on Bays, sounds, or protected salt water  
How the boat is used Multi-week coastal cruising  
Normal wind strength 10-15 knots  
Average size of crew 2-4  
Liveaboard?  
Owner bought the boat in 1994  
If the clock could be turned back, would owner buy again? yes I would doit all over again  
Gear that's been added yes, bimini ,aircondition, compas, depth and log indicator. raycing wind indicator,reinforce , mast light.  
Structural or complex improvements yes the metal that goes under the deck to hold the standing giggin was change from 304 ss to 316. also overall size was increase and made to conform the hull  
The boat's best features cabin and below deck space feeling. cost is affordable  
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc. ubolts on standing rigging corroded and snap in 3 years since new. swing keel trunk holding mettal need material beef up.  
Sailing characterisitcs 2 squals 8 foot waves. some gusty wing up to 20 knots and thats it.  
Motoring characterisitcs going out of slip and when wind drop.  
Liveability confortable for 2 adults 2 children. only proble is the haed room too low  
The owner's experience in dealing with Hunter (if any) dont like theire service.  
The owner's experience with the boat dealer or broker, if any didnt use local dealer but know him, very well and he is very supportive
