Review of the Hunter 410 by Nick Bozick

Year built 2002
Location of boat San Diego
The boat is sailed on Open ocean
How the boat is used Weekends and longer
Normal wind strength 10-15 knots
Average size of crew 2-4
Liveaboard? No
Owner bought the boat in 2002
If the clock could be turned back, would owner buy again? Yes - The 410 is the perfect size boat with great Hunter room and value. I use the boat for day sailing, weekend trips, and week long trips.
Gear that's been added My 410 loaded with everything except A/C, Generator, and Watermaker.
Structural or complex improvements No
The boat's best features Interior space, solo sailing ease, reliability, comfort and standard features.
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc. The only significant problem I had was the refrigerator thermostat needed to be replaced becasuse the refrigerator would cool down. The breakage I had was the support for one of the cockpit table supports.
Sailing characterisitcs Extreme ease of use with Main sail in mast furling and Jib furling.
Motoring characterisitcs Good speed at 80% of Max. RPM.
Liveability Boat is liveable, but I only use it for weekend and week trips.
The owner's experience in dealing with Hunter (if any) I have not dealt directly with Hunter.
The owner's experience with the boat dealer or broker, if any I bought my boat from H&S Yacht Sales in San Diego. I have had a fair experience so far.
