Review of the Hunter 260 by Steve Elam

Year built 2002
Location of boat Lake Tahoe, California
The boat is sailed on Lakes
How the boat is used Day sailing
Normal wind strength 16-22 knots
Average size of crew 2-4
Liveaboard? No
Owner bought the boat in 2002
If the clock could be turned back, would owner buy again? No. The boat was delivered from the factory with a leak in the water ballast tank. Hunter refuses to replace the boat. They want the dealer to start cutting holes in the cabin floor to try to locate the leak and patch it. I find this unacceptable for a brand new boat.
Gear that's been added Prior to taking delivery. Wind speed and direction gauges. Depth and Speed. VHF radio with mast mounted antenna and cockpit speaker and a remote mike ni the cockpit. Stereo with cockpit and cabin speakers and cockpit remote. spreader light.
